FAO

In 1994 forty four governments, meeting in Hot Springs, Virginia, the United States, commit themselves to founding a permanent organization for food and agriculture.

The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), is a organism of the United Nations (ONU) in charge of achieving food security for all  to make sure people have regular access to enough high-quality food to lead active, healthy lives. 

the three main goals of the organism are: the eradication of hunger, food insecurity and malnutrition; the elimination of poverty and the driving forward of economic and social progress for all; and, the sustainable management and utilization of natural resources, including land, water, air, climate and genetic resources for the benefit of present and future generations.

In The Forestry this organism is very important for the social evaluations before start one project, because they evaluate the impact in the people and the review the legal part of this projects, this is very important because the human right of the people of this zones are not violated
